It was great sharing a booth this year with my good friend and fellow Alaska artist Teri Jo Hedman at the Nordic Market. It was my first try at showing at a bazaar and we had to build a new indoor booth and think extra carefully about using limited space wisely. Sooo happy to do this with Teri Jo! We had a great time connecting with everyone.
It was great getting back to the Forest Fair! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and especially my patrons and collectors. I’m already looking forward to next year. See you then!
I'm revisiting abstracts this month - this time with some new techniques to loosen up a bit. Good thing I have some room in my studio!
This really does start with experimenting to see what direction the painting will go. I'm not always satisfied with the end result but I am loving the process of discovery and problem solving. It's really interesting how I can end up in a completely different direction than when I started.
Painting is problem solving!
